Completion of Operation Safe Online Summer

Attorney General Lynn Fitch announces the completion of Operation Safe Online Summer, which has resulted in 11 arrests and one child abuse victim rescued.

In a statement, AG Fitch says her office is working hard to protect young people wherever they are.

She shares it is important for parents to be aware of the risks and how to take precautions to protect kids online, ending by saying the operation helps make the state a safer place.

As part of this operation, the state’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed 53 state and three federal search warrants as well as 33 citizen complaints.

Law enforcement agencies also engaged in presentations and activities to raise awareness of online safety tips across Mississippi.
