Renee Bievenour named WXXV and Huntington Learning Center Teacher of the Month for May

BILOXI, Miss (WXXV) — Every month, WXXV teams up with Huntington Learning Center to honor one deserving Teacher of the Month in South Mississippi.

May’s incredible educator is Renee Bievenour, a second grade teacher at Woolmarket Elementary who engages her students through hands-on activities and inspires a love of learning from an early age.

Bievenour was nominated by Jessica Jourdan, a mother of a student, who added that she maintains great connections with parents so that they can stay up-to-date on all the fun learning endeavors that their children are taking part in.

“Ms. Bievenour is an awesome teacher,” Jourdan wrote in her nomination. “She communicates great with us parents and always keeps us informed of classroom events. My son loves her!”
