Road rage incident in Ocean Springs over the weekend

OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WXXV)- A violent road rage incident over the weekend in Ocean Springs leaves one man injured and another facing felony charges.

Ocean Springs police say 50-year-old William Merrit shot into a car Saturday night near Porter Avenue and Williams Street and was then hit by that same vehicle.

The driver, 21-year-old Joah Gay, was shot in the arm and is recovering.

Merritt is charged with aggravated assault and shooting into a motor vehicle.
