Three out five remaining inmates out of New Orleans captured; two found in Texas

On Monday, three out of five of the remaining inmates out of New Orleans have been captured.

Leo Tate and Jermaine Donald were arrested in Walker County, Texas by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Tate was facing charges of second-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, obstruction of justice, simple burglary of a dwelling, possession of a firearm or weapon by a felon and illegal carrying of a weapon.

Donald was jailed on illegal weapons charges.

Inmate Lenton Vanburen is now back in custody as well, after being apprehended in Baton Rouge on Monday. All three were apart of the ten inmates who escaped from the Orleans Parish Correctional Facility on May 16th.

Vanburen was originally incarcerated on charges of parole violation, possession of firearm by felon, and illegal carrying of a weapon. He will now face additional charges related to the escape.

This now leaves two inmates still on the loose.
