Golfing for a Cause: Child Abuse Awareness Month

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV) – Canopy Children’s Solution is a non-profit that reaches each of Mississippi’s 82 counties to provide children with life-changing solutions for autism, behavioral and mental health issues, adoption and foster care, and more. Here in South Mississippi, they are hosting a golf tournament to raise funds and awareness for child abuse.

Canopy Children’s Solutions provides services like forensic interviews for victims of child sex abuse, which families never have to pay for. With this, the organization works very closely with law enforcement.

Harrison County Law Enforcement participated in the golf tournament in full swing to show their support for the organization’s cause.

Law enforcement and legal professionals are not the only ones who can show support and get involved. Canopy Children’s Solutions always accepts volunteers for those who are interested.

Located in the Knight Non-Profit Center, Canopy Children’s Solutions is one of the many non-profit organizations on the coast that aim to serve critical needs in their community.
