Biloxi High JROTC receives Right of Line Trophy
Biloxi High students receive a big honor for their performance at a parade.
The JROTC cadets took part in the Veterans Day Parade in November, impressing the committee enough to win the Right of Line Trophy.
Cadets were judged for precision marching and team motivation. They were presented with their trophy early Wednesday morning in the school’s gym. Drill Team Commander Domonic Wince said, “We worked really hard for this. We spent multiple weeks on this, making sure everyone was fine-tuned and in sync. We got there; we made sure everyone was lined up but we made fun everyone had fun. It’s a pretty big deal since we never won this before. It’s our first time so it being during our year, I am grateful for that. We tried our best and made sure we performed as well as we do. We do it constantly where we make sure we put on a good show.”
Biloxi High School will have to compete for the trophy again next year. If won, the trophy stays in the hands of the school.
