The Gulf Coast Carnival Association Parade Rolls Through Downtown Biloxi

On this Fat Tuesday, the energy at the Gulf Coast Carnival Associations parade was at full blast.

The parade roots go back all the way to 1908 and was Biloxi’s first Mardi Gras parade.

Today the Carnival Association continues the tradition begun years ago, with King D’Iberville and Queen Ixolib reigning over parades in Biloxi on Fat Tuesday.

This years lineup didn’t disappoint with a theme of ‘In Search of Lost Legends,’ the parade featured plenty of vibrant floats that could make anyone scream “throw me something mister.”

While it’s bittersweet to see the Mardi Gras season go, the Gulf Coast Carnival Association’s parade sent it out with a bang.
