Remains found in Carroll County confirmed to be missing Ole Miss student
The remains of Ole Miss student Jimmie ‘Jay’ Lee have been discovered in Carroll County.
Human remains were found by deer hunters in the county on February 1st and were sent to the state crime lab for DNA testing.
Those tests confirmed the remains belong to Lee.
Lee disappeared in the summer of 2022. The man charged in his death, Sheldon Timothy Herrington, went on trial last year, but a mistrial was declared.
