01/07 Ryan’s “Freezing” Tuesday Morning Forecast

Expect cold conditions this morning as freezing air has moved in, dropping lows into the 20s on the Coast!

Arctic air is in place and temperatures are below freezing this morning in South Mississippi. In fact, morning lows will remain upwards of several degrees below freezing for most of the week, finally warming above that 32° mark Friday ahead of another front. Even then we’ll still be just barely above that line, so you won’t be putting away your winter coat for at least the next two weeks. I expect to see a bit more sun today than we did yesterday, but that won’t do much for us temperature-wise as we remain in the mid-to-upper 40s. That’s still chilly, an even as things begin to warm up I don’t expect we’ll climb out of the 50s before our next front cools things down. That’ll happen after a rainy Friday that could see some winter weather push a little further southward…not quite all the way down here though…sorry.
