01/01 Ryan’s “New Year’s” Wednesday Morning Forecast

Things are looking nice for New Year's Day with sunshine and "normal" highs and lows.

We’re off to a nice start to 2025 with beautiful, seasonal weather in South MS for New Year’s Day. This morning’s low was right around where it should be after a 20 degree cool-down from yesterday, near 43 on the coast with upper 30s/low 40s further inland. This afternoon will be practically perfect with sunny skies and a high of 61, a light northerly breeze, and another chilly night ahead. I expect lows to fall a few degrees further than it did this morning, down into the frosty mid 30s inland and upper 30s on the coast. After that, it’ll be a bit of a roller-coaster until a much stronger front brings some Arctic air into the Gulf next week!
