Long Beach to announce FEMA decision on harbor case
The City of Long Beach is holding a press conference Friday morning to announce FEMA’s response to the Long Beach Harbor arbitration case.
The announcement will be made at 10 a.m. in the Long Beach City Hall meeting room.
Long Beach went to arbitration in November over the rebuilding of the harbor after it was heavily damaged in Hurricane Zeta in 2020. FEMA offered just $2.3 million to fix the harbor, then denied Long Beach’s appeal. WXXV was told that the decision could come any time before February.
The press conference was announced Thursday afternoon.
