11/07 Ryan’s “Damp & Grey” Thursday Morning Forecast
Your Thursday morning will be a little more damp than the last few have been, with a bit more rain than yesterday expected later on as well.
A lingering overnight shower led to damp roadways in Gulfport this morning, with another day of spotty showers and more consistent grey skies. This morning remained on the warm side in the mid-to-upper 70s on the coast, with low-to-mid 70s further inland. This afternoon will cool slightly thanks to the increased cloud cover and slightly more consistent rainfall, but even then it’ll still climb into the mid 80s across the area…around three degrees south of Gulfport’s record high of 87°. Yesterday we actually hit that mark, surpassing the previous record for Nov. 6th of 86 degrees, and passing by my expected high of ~84 thanks to a little more sun breaking through during the morning/early afternoon hours. We’ll see more of this grey, somewhat damp weather for the rest of the week and the weekend, but noticeably drier air is moving in by next week.
Tropics: good news on the tropical front! Rafael’s path has shifted considerably further southward due, now not expected to impact the US Coast at all.
