Remembering the life of Todd, the Mississippi Aquarium’s green-winged macaw

Much of the Gulf Coast is remembering Todd, a green-winged macaw at the Mississippi Aquarium who passed away suddenly.

The Mississippi Aquarium saying in a Facebook post that, “It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the unexpected passing of Todd, the green-winged macaw. A necropsy will be done to help our vet team determine cause of death. There’s no doubt of the impact Todd made on this crew and all the visitors to Mississippi Aquarium. With his playful spirit and awesome dance moves, Todd quickly became a fan favorite and a huge ambassador for his species and the rainforest.”

Many have taken to Facebook to share their memories of the beloved bird, with plenty of comments describing him as playful and sweet and mentioning that he always seemed to put a smile on everyone’s face.
