08/28 Ryan’s “Dark & Cloudy” Wednesday Morning Forecast

Yesterday's activity lingered off the coast into the night, leading to a darker and more cloudy start to your Wednesday.

While not anything to worry about, expect dark & cloudy skies to greet you this morning. Things have been much more clear in the morning over the last few weeks, but today sees a pocket of moisture moving in with just enough support to get them going in at least conditionally unstable areas. That means there isn’t a lot of forcing happening, so they’ll largely still need the heat of the day to get much going.

The cloudy start and late morning/early afternoon showers should keep things on the cooler side today, forecast high expected right at our new seasonal normal near 90 degrees. I expect we’ll stay just south of that mark, but it will come down to how many showers we see. I expect that trend will continue for another couple of days as the rain chance inches upwards from today’s 30% to Friday’s 60%. Highs could fall as low as 86 on Friday, but again…it’ll come down to how much rain actually falls and for how long. Either way, we’re definitely heading towards some of our wettest days in a while, and a return to our familiar summertime shower/t-storm pattern.
