Senate to vote on infrastructure funding that would fund Gulfport road project

The U.S. Senate is one step closer to passing a transportation budget for fiscal year 2025, a budget that would provide major funding for one South Mississippi project.

The Senate Appropriations Committee passed the Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development Bill on a 28 to 1 vote this week, passing it on to the full Senate now for a vote.

The bill earmarks seven million dollars for the City of Gulfport’s Dedeaux Road widening plans, among other projects in the Magnolia state.
