Picayune Chamber Golf Tournament raising money to give back to the community

Golfers hit the course at Millbrook Country Club in Picayune on Friday morning for a good cause.

The Picayune Chamber hosted a golf tournament to raise funds for community initiatives including student scholarships. So far, a total of six scholarships have been awarded by the chamber.

Board Treasurer Nancy Oldmixon gives us some insight on what the future of the tournament will look like. “So, this event is getting bigger and bigger every year. We want to add more teams to it. We want to add more events into the thing for everyone to come out. We get more scholarships for the high school at Picayune and PRC. We are adding more and more events to the golf tournament as well, so get signed up and come join us one time. ”
