Gulfport Fire Department investigating possible arson at apartment fire
An early morning fire in the office of a Gulfport apartment complex is being investigated as arson.
Gulfport Fire Chief Billy Kelley said dispatch received multiple calls just after 4 a.m. and firefighters responded to the fire in the office of Emerald Pines Apartments on 39th Avenue.
Kelley said the intensity of the fire — and where it started, led them to believe it was deliberately set.
There were no injuries and no apartment units were damaged in the fire.
Kelley said if anyone has any information, they should contact Gulfport Police at 228-868-5950.
