‘The Burial’ premieres Friday on Amazon

A chapter of Biloxi history hits movie screens tomorrow night when ‘The Burial’ premieres on Amazon Prime.

The movie is based on the true story of Jerry O’Keefe’s lawsuit against a company trying to take over the family funeral business.

The O’Keefe family was a Premier Cinema in Biloxi on Tuesday for a screening in advance of tomorrow’s release.

The movie stars Tommy Lee Jones as Jerry O’Keefe AND Jamie Foxx as Attorney Willie Gary. Jeffrey O’Keefe said, “It’s been very positively received in the marketplace and Maggie Betts, the director herself, would suggest it’s been inspired by. And so, there is, obviously, some creative liberties taken. But it is based on actual, an actual court case.”
