8/10 – Jeff Vorick’s “Remains Hot” Thursday Evening Forecast

Extremely hot conditions continue for South Mississippi. Heat alerts remain in effect until 7 PM as heat indices are over 110 degrees. Clouds will clear overnight but southerly flow will keep it atrociously humid. Temperatures will again struggle to cool into the low-80s.

Tomorrow will be a copy of today with heat alerts in effect for the area again. With the exception of a possible thunderstorm complex arriving in the afternoon, rain chances remain slim and cloud cover will be a few clouds to at times partly cloudy skies.

The hot pattern isn’t going anywhere but gradual changes will occur. Rain chances slowly make a return this weekend. Saturday features the slim chance for isolated rain but heat and sunshine will remain the issue. Sunday through about midweek has the potential for afternoon thunderstorms making their return.
