7/3 – Jeff Vorick’s “Warm & Humid” Monday Evening Forecast

Coverage of showers and thunderstorms has remained very spotty today. Cloud coverage did increase some at times but sunshine and hot temperatures dominated. It will remain warm and humid tonight with partly cloudy skies on average. Be sure to look up tonight as a full Buck Moon will rise. It will be about 7% larger and brighter than usual.

For the 4th of July, there are going to be thunderstorm chances in the picture. Very isolated coverage will be around to start the day and daytime heating will maximize thunderstorm chances for the afternoon. Conditions will improve towards the evening and after sunset, most if not all festivities will be a go.

The unsettled pattern will stick around providing for scattered thunderstorm chances through the end of the week. A more typical pattern builds back in for the weekend with airmass thunderstorms and hot temperatures.
