03/10 – Rob Knight’s “Cloudy” Tuesday Morning Forecast
Patchy fog could become an issue tonight into Wednesday morning. At the moment, it’s hard to tell if it will be dense as cloud cover would prevent radiation fog from being dense, but there does seem to be potential for sea fog to move into the area due to the stalling front well north.
Surface high pressure has moved off to the east as a mid-west disturbance with an associated weak frontal boundary will wash out over the region during the next 36 hours.
This will bring scattered showers along with it. Drier conditions expected Tuesday night and Wednesday as another weak disturbance moves through the central Plains.
Above normal temperatures will continue on Wednesday as a weak frontal boundary associated with an upper level disturbance will remain well to the north of the forecast area. Rain chances will increase, mainly for inland areas, on Friday as a frontal boundary attempts to sag southward from the Arkansas-Louisiana-Texas region.
A closed cut-off low over the desert Southwest will move northeastward into the central Plains by the upcoming weekend bringing slightly higher rain chances, especially northern zones through the weekend.
