City of Long Beach recognizing Suicide Prevention Month
LONG BEACH, Miss. (WXXV)- The City of Long Beach and the board of aldermen are recognizing September as Suicide Prevention Month.
This is a time to raise awareness, encourage conversations, and remind those who might be struggling that help is available.
In recognition of the month, the gateway tower and surrounding area are shining teal to bring awareness.
The city says if you see the teal lights, let it serve as a reminder to check on friends, family, and any neighbors.
