‘99 Days of Summer’ in Ocean Springs

Trying to figure out a way to spend your summer days? The City of Ocean Springs is rolling out their ‘99 Days of Summer’ campaign, a day-by-day guide to summer fun.

Each day is something new like building a sandcastle on Front Beach, listening to music at Murky Waters, or dolphin watching at Aunt Jenny’s Restaurant. They also have specific events highlighted like the art walk, shopping for Tax Free Weekend, or celebrating the Fourth of July.

The idea for ’99 Days of Summer’ actually got started in a unique way. Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Cynthia Sutton said, “We work really close with the state welcome centers and we asked them what do they get asked most during the summer time from the tourists that come through and they said they get asked what can families do for free, what can families do together during the summertime. So, out of that we created these ’99 Days of Summer’ campaign.’”

If you would like to see the full list of ‘99 Days of Summer’ you can find it on their website at oceanspringschamber.com or pick up a copy in person at the chamber.
