9/16 – Rob’s “Wet Weekend” Forecast

As an area of low-pressure in the NW’tern Gulf of Mexico continue to move to the NW, moisture flow will continue along the gulf coast. An inverted trough just to the south of the barrier island has isolated activity moving into the coastal counties. An approaching cold front will increase the activity to scattered/numerous showers and t-storms through today and then again Saturday. As this cold front rides to the north of our viewing area, drier air will begin moving in early next week.
