8/5 – Rob’s Hot & Wet Weekend Forecast

A HUGE area of high-pressure dominates from he Carolinas down to eastern Texas, with a minor kink of low-pressure in between. The Mississippi Gulf coast happens to be in that area of lower-pressure so t-storms will continue to be the norm heading into the 1st weekend of August. This afternoon could bring strong winds in excess of 30 mph as the parameters for collapsing t-storms will be fairly strong. Heavy rain will also be a possibility today through Sunday as t-storms continually move over the same areas. Temps will continue to be in the low 90s with the HEAT INDICES around 103° before the rain cools the area down.
