8/21 – Rob Knight’s Weekend/Tropical Forecast

As we head into the weekend focus continues to be the tropics and the potential for 2 tropical entities in the GOM Sunday into next week.

• The 1^st to bring impacts will be TD #14…which should stay to the west with a potential landfall near the Houston area early Tuesday morning. (Effects will begin Sunday evening in our area)
• TS Laura is projected to make landfall just to our east as a potential CAT 1 hurricane early Wednesday morning. The track for Laurie is VERY UNCERTAIN at this time and could change significantly through the weekend.

Either way, this is the time to make sure your hurricane plan is ready to go.
