8/18 – Jeff’s “Heat Advisory” Weekend Forecast
Skies remain clear overnight and it will be slightly warmer with more humidity as compared to last night. Tomorrow will again be hot, with a modest increase in humidity. A Heat Advisory will be in effect from 10 AM until 7 PM. Expect sunny skies with southerly winds developing by the afternoon.
Sunday will also be very hot with heat alerts expected again. There will be the potential for isolated showers and thunderstorms from the sea breeze. There will be more appreciable rain chances for the beginning of next week. A tropical wave will move westward through the Gulf of Mexico Sunday – Wednesday.
The disturbance will move past our area Monday into Tuesday. The center of this feature will not be near our area. 40% or so chances of rain, especially closer to the beachfront, can be expected. The pattern will revert back to extreme heat for the middle of next week.
