7/4 – Jeff Vorick’s “Improving Conditions” Independence Day Evening Forecast

Shower and thunderstorm chances will continue to drift inland between now and the evening hours as the sea breeze clears Coastal Mississippi. You can still expect the potential for isolated showers and thunderstorms this evening. Fireworks should go off without a hitch. The hot and humid pattern will stick around.

Shower chances will still be present overnight especially closer to daybreak. Rain chances will become scattered to numerous for your Wednesday in a similar nature to today. But, coverage will be around 60%. Mid-morning through about mid-afternoon is when thunderstorm coverage will peak. Thursday won’t be too much different.

Friday is when a cold front will make it into the region. Thunderstorm chances will continue before the front gradually lifts out of the South this weekend into next week. Be mindful of frequent lightning and very heavy rainfall with thunderstorms.
