7/15 – Rob’s “IMPROVING CONDITIONS” Afternoon Forecast

Barry is now an area of low-pressure moving north through northern Arkansas towards the mid-west.

a Flash Flood Watch is still in effect for the COASTAL and pearl river counties until 6 pm

Rain chances will begin to diminish tonight into Tuesday as the remnants of Barry continue to pull away from the area and drier air begins to work into the region. As the remnants of Barry continue to weaken and pull off to the north and northeast, mid/upper level ridging will build across the Gulf Coast states and southeast CONUS by mid-week bringing a return of drier but hotter conditions to the area that will persist until at least the end of the week.
