7/11 – Jeff Vorick’s “Thunderstorms With VERY Heavy Rain” Tuesday Evening Forecast

Once again, scattered to numerous thunderstorms in the area will gradually come to an end this evening. They will be capable of very heavy rainfall and frequent lightning at times. It will remain warm and humid overnight with clearing skies. Expect a few clouds around at daybreak.

Tomorrow will bring a lot of the same. Partly cloudy skies early on will become mostly cloudy and thunderstorm chances return in the afternoon. Coverage will be around 50% again and heavy rainfall is a concern. The Weather Prediction Center has our entire area in a Marginal Risk for flash flooding.

Thursday has the potential to bring more heavy thunderstorms. That being said, more sunshine will be around and the pattern will gradually change. A hot and humid regime will build back in for the end of the week into the weekend. More standard summertime heat and isolated thunderstorm chances will be around Friday through the weekend.
