6/4 – Payton’s Sunday Night Forecast

Showers and thunderstorms this afternoon lead to a quiet evening with most of the activity being very light and off to the west. An upper level disturbance along with a surface trough off to the west will continue to increase rain chances throughout the day on Monday. The best chance will be in the afternoon hours because of daytime heating. Rain chances along with some rumbles of thunder continue for Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday night. The cold front will push through the area late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning. A few lingering showers are possible Wednesday morning, but clearing will happen throughout the afternoon.

Thursday and Friday look to be the nicest days as high pressure moves in behind the front. This will give sunny skies and lower humidity. Moisture begins to return to the area on Saturday into Sunday, which will increase rain chances Sunday into the beginning of next week.
