After a rain-free start to the day…isolated activity to the west is moving east and into the viewing area…

As the remains of CINDY moves through Arkansas, the moisture flow will continue with bands of showers along with the potential for HEAVY RAIN once again today.

A strong south wind will bring showers with the potential for heavy rain from the GOM. The winds will begin to taper-off this evening as the remnants of Cindy moves towards the NE. An approaching cold front will affect the region through the weekend with elevated rain potential. As the front moves through the area…it will stall over the northern Gulf of Mexico, but there should be enough dry air filtering into the area to bring DRIER conditions.
