6/18 – Payton’s Sunday Night Forecast

Happy Father’s Day! After showers and thunderstorms in the area this afternoon, most of the activity has decreased and left us with warm and muggy conditions. There is a slight chance of a lingering shower overnight, but most of us should stay dry. Tomorrow is another day of hot and muggy conditions with a chance of showers . As we head into Tuesday moisture from the developing tropical system could start to push into the area. This will lead to increased rain chances Tuesday through Friday. While the exact track of the system is still uncertain, moisture from it is going to likely move into our area. Once the low pressure develops into a well defined system, then we will have a better idea of where the heaviest rainfall is going to fall. Right now the track could range from Texas to the Florida Panhandle, so it’s best to stay tuned over the next few days. Please click the video for the full forecast.
