6/16 – Rob’s Midday News “Father’s Day Weekend” Forecast
Overnight t-storms dissipated prior to sunrise but will redevelop this afternoon – evening.
As the very strong tropical air mass continues to dominate the region…showers/t-storms will be in the area through this evening. The Father’s Day weekend will bring minimal activity Saturday as a trough of low-pressure to our NE moves off the eastern seaboard. Sunday will bring elevated instability with a 50% chance for showers & t-storms to close out the weekend.
The long tern forecast is dependent on a potential tropical system moving out of the Caribbean sea and into the southern GOM and then over the Yucatan.
