6/15 – Rob’s “Hump Day” Midday Forecast
Although the main batch of energy is to the east of our area, cloudy skies and isolated showers/t-storms will be in the area this afternoon…about a 30% chance. The overall pattern will remain unchanged through the weekend as the mercury will climb into the mid 90s by Friday with the HEAT INDEX around 107° – A DANGEROUS ZONE! A cold front will approach the area Saturday and could provide for a SLIGHT THREAT for SEVERE STORMS through Saturday evening. After the front moves east, Sunday (Father’s Day) will be dramatically different as COOLER/DRIER AIR moves in.
