6/4 – Rob’s Monday Morning/Workweek Forecast

Subtle changes are in the forecast for today as a cold front has made it into the area yet. Models are better agreement now that the front stays closer to the coast today.

This should allow for a focus for some shower and thunderstorm activity today and therefore introduced some chances of rain into the forecast, especially south of the interstate.

A few of the storms could be on the strong side with some locally heavy rainfall possible but the severe weather threat for today is on the low side.

Not much has changed for the rest of the work week as model differences are focused on the positions of ridges and troughs. Due to the differences and the development of the exact positioning of those features, rain chances fluctuate through the week. Overall though, rain chances will be slightly above normal summertime chances.
