6/4 – Payton’s Monday Afternoon Forecast
A cold front lingering in the area did bring slightly drier air to South Mississippi, and while it didn’t bring any colder air you’ll notice it not feeling as hot this afternoon with heat index values in the mid 90s. Rain chances will be very isolated but a few could pop up. Rain chances look greatest on Tuesday and Wednesday as a system moves in from the northwest. Going into the end of the week rain chances decrease, but heat and humidity will dominate as it feels close to 100 degrees this weekend. Take it easy if you have plans outside.
No tropical development is expected over the next five days.
