6/26 – Jeff’s “Excessive Heat Warning” Monday Night Forecast

Tonight, conditions will be muggy and temperatures will struggle to cool below 80 degrees. Skies will have a few clouds to partly cloudy conditions. An Excessive Heat Warning will go into effect from 10 AM until 8 PM tomorrow. Be sure to take extra care if you need to be outside for extended periods of time.

Thunderstorm chances will come from daily airmass thunderstorms or batches of energy riding the flow. Wednesday and Friday look favorable for scattered thunderstorm chances. Other than that, isolated thunderstorms are possible for Tuesday.

The heat will be downright dangerous this week with heat indices over 110 degrees at times until Friday. Some signals show that the very hot pattern will loosen its grip on our area by the weekend.
