5/18 – Rob’s “Humid” Friday Eve Forecast

An area of high-pressure continues the blocking pattern with a deep TROPICAL AIR MASS along the Gulf Coast. Today will bring isolated morning showers then a few afternoon t-storms. An approaching cold front west will stall…then begin to slowly move east Saturday morning.

This front will be the focal point for numerous showers and thunderstorms as it slowly moves across the forecast area. Models are starting to show decreasing stability for the weekend with the main threat being periods of HEAVY RAIN…especially Sunday.

Rain potential will continue into next week as it begins to decrease.
