5/4 – Jeff Vorick’s “Increasing Humidity” May The 4th Evening Forecast

Our area is about to see the weather pattern change. The combination of high pressure shifting to its east and a warm front moving through the area will lead to southerly flow increasing the humidity. Moisture will be plentiful leading to more in the way of rain chances. For tonight, expect mild temperatures and increasing clouds.

Light fog could be around to start the day but it will quickly dissipate. A complex of showers and thunderstorms will move east overnight into our region by tomorrow morning. Rain chances begin to increase around mid-morning Friday, peaking with the best daytime heating in the afternoon. There is the potential for multiple rounds of rainfall.

Saturday will also provide for rain chances as well but coverage will be less. Also, it looks like there will only be one round of rain. Sunday will bring more in the way of dry time but a warm, humid summer-like pattern with afternoon thunderstorm chances will be here to stay into much of next week. Monday has signals for elevated rain chances once again then very warm temperatures settle in by next week.
