5/28 – Payton’s Tuesday Afternoon Forecast
Another hot and humid afternoon with heat index values in the mid to upper 90s. The high pressure will start to break down later this week, but with it overhead today and Wednesday will be hot, humid and dry. Most if not all activity that is able to develop today should remain to our west until later in the workweek.
Odds look better for higher rain chances Thursday as two areas of instability are now showing up on models. One system moving in from the gulf Thursday morning, another moving in from the west. After Thursday, a more normal summer-like diurnal distribution of showers/t-storms is expected.
