5/21 – Rob Knight’s “Warm & Humid” Afternoon Forecast

The stalled front along the coast will move back to the north this morning bringing the muggy warm environment with it. The deeper moisture will also give rise to hit and miss showers/t-storms over the coming days as we begin to fully transition into a summer pattern. The return flow from the Gulf of Mexico will be in full force by Saturday. Weak high pressure will generally be the pattern through the middle of next week. Daily precip chances will be diurnally driven scattered showers and thunderstorms. Max temperatures will be near normal or slightly above normal. Getting towards Tuesday, An upper level disturbance looks to dig in down to around Texas and will bring a cold front to Louisiana but there is still a lot of model uncertainty at this time.
