5/15 – Jeff’s “Summertime Weather” Monday Night Forecast
Mild and muggy conditions will be around overnight. Light fog could develop in spots that saw rain earlier but widespread fog is not expected. Tomorrow is going to be much like today with hot temperatures, humid conditions, and afternoon thunderstorms. Scattered thunderstorms developing off of a sea breeze can be expected again. Heavy downpours, frequent lightning, and bursts of wind are all on the table.
Severe weather is not expected. The best shower and thunderstorm coverage will come this Wednesday as a cold front will swing through the region. Daytime heating will maximize the activity. The front will take a slight edge off of the humidity into the end of this week. Rain chances will also decrease towards the weekend.
A cold front could make it through the area this weekend. Saturday brings the potential for elevated rain chances again. Looking into next week, the cold front could usher in a slight airmass change which could lead to one chance of comfortable conditions before summer is here.
