4/2 – Rob’s Beginning of April Forecast

A few showers could develop west of our area today but they will be hindered from further development. A marginal to slight risk of severe thunderstorms will remain as well for Tuesday night into early Wed morning. Severe weather variables support strong winds, but hail and an isolated tornado is not going to be negated. There should be strong wind speeds with the frontal boundary itself of 25 to 35 mph. If this combines with some of the thunderstorm activity, winds could easily rise into severe levels.

Fog could be patchy this morning. But it’s looking more like the stratus deck will come in at around 3k feet tonight and Tuesday morning as winds should begin to rise by nightfall.

Another cold front will stall in the gulf south by Friday giving an area of focus for showers/t-storms development through Saturday. The front may get forced back to the north Sunday as another strong cold front swings in from the west affecting the area Monday night into Tuesday of next week.
