4/11 – Jeff Vorick’s “Isolated Rain” Tuesday Evening Forecast
An area of low pressure has formed in our region, just to our south in the Gulf of Mexico. Cloud coverage will be dominant over the next couple of days along with windy conditions, rain potential, and coastal impacts. Isolated rain chances of 30% can be expected overnight.
A Coastal Flood Warning and Small Craft Advisory remain in effect until Thursday morning due to elevated winds. Bands of rain will be rotating ashore tomorrow afternoon through much of Thursday. The thinking is that a round of rainfall will come in Wednesday afternoon, followed by a couple more rounds overnight Wednesday into Thursday.
The low pressure will eventually move out late Thursday and drier, quieter times will follow. Rain chances are in the equation this weekend with a cold front arriving by Sunday.
