3/4 – Payton’s Sunday Night Forecast
After a beautiful weekend with low humidity, sunshine and nice temperatures, this will all be coming to an end tomorrow. A warm front will lift back to the north over the area and increase clouds along with moisture. Because of this we could see a few showers Monday, but for the most part the area will be dry. Going into Monday night and Tuesday morning thunderstorm chances will pickup quite dramatically as a cold front approaches. The heaviest rain will fall Tuesday morning. Showers and thunderstorms will linger into the late morning before clearing begins Tuesday night into Wednesday. A few of the storms could be strong to severe with gusty winds and small hail. The storms will be dumping very heavy rainfall, so the potential for flash flooding will be watched carefully. Going into the middle part of the week will be cool, dry and sunny! Rain chances return Friday night into Saturday as another disturbance and cold front move by.
