$3.4 Million Coming to Airport

It could be a bit quieter in neighborhoods near the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport, thanks to a $3.4 million grant it’s receiving from the Federal Aviation Administration.
The grant was announced today by U.S. Senators Thad Cochran and Roger Wicker. The money will be used for noise mitigation measures for residents around the airport.
Two other Mississippi airports, Kosciusko-Attala County and Starkville, will each receive less than $800 thousand.
