3/30 – Rob Knight’s Tuesday Afternoon Forecast
A warm front to the south slowly moving north will bring rain and a few t-storms. Clouds will be on the increase with isolated – scattered showers along with embedded t-storms as well. The majority of activity is expected this afternoon/evening. An upper level disturbance from the west will continue to move east dragging a cold front though the region Wednesday. Elevated rain potential will be in the area Wednesday midday through late evening. Additional lift with the front could bring a few strong/severe t-storms to the area with the main threat being strong straight line winds and small hail. Once the front clears, skies will clear rapidly with clear skies expected by sunrise Thursday morning.
High-pressure will move in from the NW bringing colder air and breezy conditions Thursday/Friday. Temperatures will begin to rebound into the 70s Easter weekend.
