3/25 – Payton’s Sunday Night Forecast
It was a gorgeous day on the coast. Temperatures maxed out in the upper 70s and lower 80s. Most clouds were north of I-10, but this changes going into tonight and tomorrow. Expect more clouds and slightly cooler temperatures for Monday. There could be a stray shower, but most will stay dry through Wednesday. An upper level system along with a cold front will move into the area Thursday, and that’s when the best chance for showers and thunderstorms will be. A few could produce very heavy rainfall, and gusty winds. Flash flooding issues should remain to the north where areas in Central and northern portions of Mississippi could pick up between 4-6 inches. Drying as we head into the weekend with temperatures still in the 70s and low 80s. There could be a stray shower for Easter Sunday.
