This weekend, the fifth annual Mermaids Arts and Craft Show will be rolling into the Bay St. Louis Train Depot.
Craftsmen will be selling items that are 50 percent handmade. The show is ideal to give you a head start on Christmas shopping, being the full package with a gift-wrapping table.
Apart from the arts and crafts, there will be live music, food trucks, and a free tour inside the Mardi Gras Museum.
The show is hosted by the Krewe of Nereids, they’re an all-female Mardi Gras organization, thrilled to finally be able to put on a show as a way to give back to the community. Krewe of Nereids Craftshow Chairman Mary Ann Pucheu said, “We are rescheduled from September and because of COVID we canceled and several of our vendors asked for cooler weather. So, this might be a win-win where we can try it out. The weather is supposed to be beautiful. We’ve socially distanced. Every booth is ten feet apart. So we feel like with the weather, it’s going to be a great turnout.”
The show goes on from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
